A Newsletter Perhaps?

I am suggesting if we can make a newsletter?
We can include:

articles,
mangas(drawn by members n other ppl?)
discount vouchers,
latest happenings in monash?
latest event n photos.
art corner
self-promote ourselves.
advertisement..........

might be bi-monthly or so...depends on the responses we have.

So how do you think guys n gals?
you can submit your art n stories for sharing!!hehe..

This might be a good way to make people aware of the club.

if there are sponsors la...we can include discounts vouchers to promote n advertise for them

Newsletter means... is it in print or it's by email?

newsletter in a paper form and we distribute it and sell it.XD just like selling your artwork or article. but anyone interested to make one?

Hmm i also don't think people would actually buy it either. So i don't think selling it would be a good idea.

How about getting our own anime column in the MonGa magazine? Just a small column will also be good enough. We can talk about the latest anime news or happenings/events in Malaysia and also promote our club at the same time. I happen to know someone in the Editorial Board. So i can ask them about it. Ouh and i can help out and manage that column if it is approved with the help of some of the other members of course. ^^; I've had experience in writing articles as i was part of the Editorial Board in my previous college. So i suppose i can help out. ;D

maybe early stage we distribute it for free as a promotion for our club. We see the responses whether It is good or not. then later we only decide to sell it. I think this is a good way to attract members to be active in the club.

if got sponsors den good la, if not it's gonna cost a bomb (especially with color for photos x|)

how about thru e-mail? for the manga part, maybe we can have an ad for it instead and den let people buy if dey're interested?

Erm, how do you send newsletters to people outside of the club? I mean like where will you get their email addresses?

oh, i meant to members, coz frm what i understand from my mum's ikebana club, newsletters r for members only? (correct me if i'm wrong x|)

Erm, i guess if you wanna send email its probably only to members only, otherwise it might be considered spam! And maybe the news letter could be used to inform the members about the upcoming events and activities and maybe a little profile on the EXCO of the club. I mean that would be quite cool and shouldn't be that hard since most of the info in already in the forums.

To make things more lively, why not we start up trying to make a manga-related newsletter?

Some sort like reviews, some mangas, latest happenings...but I think everyone can get it online though. Unless, we publish like shonen jump style=) with questionaires and stuff...
