A Place to Gather

Hey, I thought that having a place to gather seemed nice. Since we dun really know each other, and the meeting might only be once a week....

We should have a place to gather for communication or activities.

Let's say, 3 floor lib, sumwhere around de corner. We can gather there anytime and doesn't matters if we dunno each other. It's a good way to interact and to get to know one another and we can have our own activities or discuss certain things. May it be anime/ manga sharing or even drawing or just plain discussion, it's always nice to feel like being a part of a certain community. And we'll always know the 'spot' to look for each other!

Great idea. We'll get 2 noe more people who share a love for anime and manga.

excellent choice since i lurk in the library. also, we should have weekly leeching sessions to update each others anime database.

lol But don't you think we'll eventually lose ourselves and end up being kicked out of the library for being too noisy? XD

i like the idea though. however i don tink monash will hav such places for us. it's not like our high schools where clubs get to have their own room. library is not to suitable cuz it's where ppl study. i agree wif kendoka that when we get too carried away we tend to forget that we r in the library. but we will try to tink of something like that la. mayb organize something like a buddy-budee night so everyone can gather n introduce yrselves to each other.

how about the student lounge (near cafeteria) as a meet-up place? are there chairs and enough space at the lounge?

a gathering night sounds fun. can be sort of like a party as well where we get to mingle and play games.

good good! but we have at least 50 active members wor....the student lounge might collapse!! =p

XD We could always sit under the trees in front of the cafeteria if we cannot find any other spot. Not like anyone else is going to sit there, ne? ^__^

Does it have to be night? >.< I'll be having trouble turning up then...

Personally, I prefer not to meet in the library since I don't want to get kicked out.

How about the chairs and tables over at building 9 from floors 3-5?

Whatever you guys decide just makes sure it is a time everyone can gather conveniently or at least with minimal issues concerning lecture, lab and tutorial sessions. I missed the first meeting because of that issue.

the rooftop mite be a nice place, tho it tend to be really hot especially at noon >_<

how about saturdays? campus will be much emptier + no one will be having lecs or tuts, because no matter what time we choose, someone or other is bound to have classes to attend.

lol come purposely for meeting, petrol n toll is another prob wei. but true also, cuz everyone's time table is bound to clash no matter wat time it is on weekdays

the prob wif uni is that everyone hav different timetable. unlike high school, everyone's timetable is the same so the activities r easy to organize.headache cannot tink of a way to solve the prob

Well i guess then we all hv 2 make some sacrifices. how bout we rotate it between a few days then all will hv a chance 2 attend some meetings coz we probably won't b able 2 attend every1 based on current situation.
