Anime Review and Discussion!!!!!!!

Something is not right here!!!

We are lacking of something!!!

Don't you feel we need to be more "otaku" like? Somehow, our club has been doing so many things that it got side-tracked away from our original purpose, which is "To make interaction among members via anime, manga and Japanese Youth culture".

Well, the interaction part is ok since we have a lot of interactions through outings, but we're starting to fall behind on the anime, manga and Japanese Youth culture part. So......

As the topic suggests, we should have a "review and discussion session" about the anime of all times!! We gather in the Plenary Theatre/Staff Lounge one day and...of course, watch and discuss!!!

Most probably, we will hold this event after class hours,(after 6pm)! How about it?

I'm usually not free after 6pm, but I can consider about it.

Yeah, more discussion about anime's theme and stuff like that 8D

so we're gonna pretend we're critics? lol

It's not pretend... It's more like BE one. XD

oh cool as I get to mock all you favourite characters yea

we get to put down the storyline and stuff too, lololol

We also get to insult each other's favorite anime/manga?

by reviewing,I assume you mean't screening of something,an by discussion I hope you meant something like " wow,that was pretty good yea,ok now lets go and eat something"

yeah, but then it'd switch to psp/ps1/ps2/ps3 game discussion~!

I also ,of course,washed that down with hot tea,which is the path prescribed by lufti,and also because it was cheaper than ordering a frappe

if we watch an anime that have 0 relation to anything else but anime then the topic will not divert

I have classes on Fridays so I can't join the discussion. Oh wells.... You can never satisfy everyone.

After nearly 1 and a half years,I've finally finished watching the entire Macross Franchise (1982-2008)

By the end of it,I've become something of a fan( I wouldn't buy plamos though)

The frachise can do a lot better with less cliched song sequences

-but cute girls and rockers and robots fighting are fun
- I enjoyed the potrayal of politicians and their linkages with the military.Especially how they use propaganda to deceive the public
- I enjoyed the idea of interspecies sex and rape
- The idea of sending out space fleets and colonist to inhabit other earth like planets to ensure the survival of the human race
- The fact that theres a continuity in story telling with the descendents of some of the previous characters carrying on the tale

I highly recommend this series. It was very thought provoking for me.
