This thread is for anybody to provide Kaichou with advise or anything that might help him
move

CNS week should be around week 2 right. I'm going to repeat this again
I'm keening on holding screenings in plenary theartre,auditorium,or class room across the week to gather members and attract new ones.my concern is,how early do we need to book. In fact ,if we do early before cns and b4 tutorials and labs begin,the chances of successfully booking a place will be good.And we need to have bright colourful posters ready to attract attention

Just so you know,next week is christmas followed by new year,I can't help you discuss.

February is Chinese New Year,and no way I'm going to waste time discussing here

So if nothing gets decided in January,then we'll have to rush beginning of sem,and it will end up to be a below average thing again

Success in CNS means new members. We can't expect all new members to be active ,but the higher the ammount of new members we can get,the higher the percentage of 'potential' active members.

To incite activity, we will need to draw new members in quickly after cns into some sort of meeting cum ice breaker to get everybody together as a team
The stronger the team, the chances of activities like the workshops,screenings,outings and music festival/fund-gathering becoming a success increases tremendously.

So Kaichou,I'm begging you to move fast

i suggested it before, but an ice-breaker will be really important. In fact, you can have two ice-breakers for new members to mingle with the old before holding the AGM. By creating a bond, no matter how weak, we may have a chance to pull in more active members.

Also, another thing is to branch out into other interests that relate to the eastern region or anything otaku/nerdy. It helps bring in a bigger crowd.

eastern region being japan/korea, and the interests involving that region being j/k-pop, j/k-drama, etc. Or something weaboo-ish

As for nerdy, emphasis on gaming/computers/p0rn and etc. In fact, why not get an affiliation to that sleazy gaming club next sem?
